Indore: Despite his bail being confiscated not once or twice but 18 times in the different elections held in Madhya Pradesh during the last three and a half decades, Parmanand Tolani of Indore did not let his courage break. 63-year-old Tolani, popularly known as "Indouri Dhartipakad", has once again filled his nomination papers for the assembly elections to be held on November 17, following the desire for victory and the tradition of his family. Tolani filed his nomination papers on Monday as an independent candidate from the Indore-4 assembly constituency. After filing their nomination, he said, 'This will be my 19th election. Before this, I had contested elections 18 times for Lok Sabha, Assembly, and mayor's posts.

Continuing his point, he said that he had once fielded his wife Lakshmi Tolani in the municipal elections because at that time the post of mayor was reserved for a female candidate. Tolani is a real estate businessman by profession. He says that the forfeiture of his security deposit does not affect his enthusiasm to contest the elections, rather his confidence increases manifold with every defeat. He has said that 'the people of Indore are very intelligent. I have full hope that she will definitely make me win the elections one day or the other. Tolani has said that this time he has promised the voters that if he wins the elections, he will give them complete exemption from property tax on buildings with an area of ​​up to 1,000 square feet and will also waive the fee charged by the Municipal Corporation for collecting garbage from the house. Will give. Tolani's family is famous for continuously contesting elections for two generations and each time the deposits of its members have been forfeited.

He has given further information that his father Methram Tolani, who ran a printing press in the city, had contested different elections continuously for 30 years during his lifetime. Tolani has said, "After my father's death in 1988, I started contesting elections in 1989." The next generation of Tolani family is also getting ready to enter the electoral fray. Tolani's daughter Nisha (32) has said, "At present, my focus is on my employment, but if the need arises in the future, my sister and I are definitely going to carry forward our family tradition of contesting elections."
