Shimla: Tremors were felt in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh at around 12.01 pm on Friday. The National Centre for Seismology has confirmed the earthquake. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the magnitude of the earthquake was 3.4 on the Richter scale.
In Rajasthan, tremors were felt in Jalore around 2.26 pm on Friday. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the magnitude of the earthquake has been assessed as 4.6 on the Richter scale. Earlier, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Rajasthan border with Banaskantha district of Gujarat on November 16 (Tuesday). The earthquake was confirmed by the Seismological Research Institute (ISR) at Gandhinagar. The epicentre of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometres near Sumerpur in the Pali district of Rajasthan. The earthquake occurred around 7.25 pm.
ISR said the epicentre of the earthquake has been felt at a distance of 136 kilometres northeast of Palanpur, the headquarters of Banaskantha district. Banaskantha district authorities have said that no property damage or any loss has been reported in Gujarat.
