Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has taken a jibe at the order given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding reforms in the electricity department. He has said that after running the government for 5 years, now the light of the government's mind has been lit. Accusing the government of privatization, he also said that reform is possible only from the end of complicity with corruption.
Akhilesh Yadav tweeted on Wednesday morning and wrote, 'After running the government for 5 years in Uttar Pradesh, now the government's mind lit up that 'comprehensive reform' is needed in the electricity department. Government bent on privatization of electricity department should tell how reforms will be implemented when there is no control in their hands. The end of nexus with corruption is the root of every reform.
In fact, in the past, according to the roster in the entire state, CM Yogi ordered for uninterrupted power, and instructed to make comprehensive reforms in the electricity department. He said that an action plan should be prepared keeping in mind the future energy requirements. CM Yogi further said that the Energy Minister should review the functioning of the Electricity Department and try to make sweeping changes at every level. He said that consumers should be encouraged for timely payment of electricity bills.
