Dehradun: After consultations at Haridwar in Uttarakhand, the District BJP MLA attended the office of CM Trivendra Singh Rawat in Dehradun. The political implications of this meeting with the Chief Minister of MLA are being explored. However, the MLA has described it as a common courtesy call. He said that a three-tier panchayat election will be held in Haridwar in December. He came to seek guidance from the CM regarding the panchayat election.

On the other hand, CM's media advisor Darshan Singh Rawat said that recently the state government has declared nine big villages of Tehri displaced as revenue villages. There are also villages of displaced in Haridwar. The city's MLA came to show his gratitude to the CM. MLA Swami Yatishwaranand, Adesh Chauhan, Deshraj Karnwal, Suresh Rathore were among those who met CM. MLA Sanjay Gupta was to come, but he had to go somewhere else, so he could not come.

The political significance of Haridwar's meeting with MLA is speculated. It is believed that the pace of development work underway in MLA assembly constituencies has slowed down. They also want to pay crores of rupees to private sugar mills before the panchayat election. They have submitted a memorandum to the CM demanding the payment of arrears of crores of rupees to the sugar mills. Asked him for guidance about the preparation for the panchayat election. CM suggested that in the past they have to overcome the challenge of COVID-19.
