Drone delivery is scheduled to start soon in the country. Some time ago, it was said that Swiggy would start distributing food and medical packages using drones, while now India's leading express logistics service provider Bluedart has also been added to the list which will deliver from drones. Bluedart announced that it formed the Bluedart Made-Express Consortium to distribute vaccines and emergency medical supplies to India's remote area using drones.

Bluedart is a part of the Medicine of Sky initiative launched by the Government of Telangana, World Economic Forum, NITI Aayog, and Healthnet Global. This is the same initiative that has worked for drone delivery along with Danjo. Blue Dart CMO and Head, Business Development Ketan Kulkarni said that the Consortium aims to enable safe, efficient, and cost-effective drone delivery flights.

With the same efficient systems, it can help reduce the existing logistics costs, thereby making healthcare logistics faster and skilled. We are happy to be given the right to start operations and that is definitely the need of the day. Mankind is seeing the worst time and Blue Dart is committed to giving back to the society in which it works and will always be ready to move one step further.
