Korba: After six months, the police in Korba, Chhattisgarh, have recovered the body of a girl from the forest and made a big disclosure of the murder. Anju Yadav, a resident of the Risdi area, was murdered by her boyfriend Gopal Khadia and the body was buried by digging a 20-foot pit in the forest. On Wednesday, in the presence of the police administration, the body was dug out by digging a pit. Gopal told the police that after the murder, his girlfriend's ghost used to harass him. Because of this, he was living in fear.

It is being told that the girl was missing for 8 months and the family had lodged a missing complaint with the local police station. This case is of a Sagoan nursery in Dhelwadih. Anju Yadav, 24, who lived here, was missing for 8 months. The victim's mother Ramsheela Yadav had also lodged a missing person's report at Rampur chowki in July 2022. The mother had also raised suspicion about a man named Gopal Khadia (25). But the police did not take any action. After this, the victim's family approached the SP and the police seriously started investigating.  

On the complaint of the deceased girl's mother, the police detained the criminal Gopal Khadia on Tuesday and questioned him strictly, after which he confessed to his crime. The accused said that he is a tractor driver in the brick kiln and Anju Yadav also used to load bricks there. The two met there and after a few days, the meeting turned into love. Their love affair lasted three years. After that, the girlfriend started putting pressure on him to get married. There was often a quarrel between the two about marriage. Upset with this, he planned to remove his girlfriend Anju from the way. He took his girlfriend to the Sagoan nursery in Dhelwadih by making excuses. Where he strangled her to death and buried the body there by digging a 20-foot pit. Apart from this, he told the police that after the murder, his girlfriend's ghost used to harass him. Because of this, he was living in fear. The police dug a pit with the help of JCB in the presence of the executive magistrate at the behest of the criminal. Rampur and Manikpur police stations were present on the spot. The mother of the deceased started crying bitterly after seeing the skeleton of the daughter. The police arrested the culprit and sent him to jail.
