Amaravati: Following the Andhra Pradesh high court order, the CBI has started an investigation into the murder of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Uncle, former minister and MP YS Vivekananda Reddy. A seven-member CBI team on Saturday, Kadapa District Superintendent of Police KKN Amburajan gave details of the murder of Vivekananda Reddy. The CBI officials felt that more details could come to light if the records in the Pulivendula court were examined. The court refused to file a petition seeking to provide the records to them.
The CBI approached the High Court. Former minister and MP YS Vivekananda Reddy has petitioned to order the records of the murder case. The High Court has taken up the matter. The CBI's counsel has taken note of the court that the records will be used to investigate the case quickly. The High Court responded positively Pulivendula magistrate has been ordered to hand over the case records to the CBI.
A few days before the elections, the former foreign minister and MP were killed inside his residence in Kadapa district on March 15, 2019. The 68-year-old leader was alone in his house at the time of the incident. Some unknown people entered the house and killed them. A few hours later, he was to start a campaign for ysr congress party in Kadapa district.
Jaganmohan Reddy has been aware of the plight of the people and allocated Rs 122 crore.
