New Delhi: The first meeting of the newly elected Lok Sabha MPs of the Congress is scheduled to be held on Saturday, in which the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) is likely to be elected. Sources said that Sona Gandhi is  leading and all 52 Lok Sabha MPs of the party will be present in the meeting. This meeting will also include the Rajya Sabha members of the Congress.

According to the report, The CPP meeting will be held at the Central Hall of Parliament, in which the strategy for the forthcoming session of Parliament will also be determined. Sources said that in the first meeting of the 17th Lok Sabha, the Congress MPs can also select their leader in the Lok Sabha. This will be the first official meeting after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting held on May 25, in which Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be attending.

During the meeting of the Working Committee, Rahul offered to resign from the post of Congress President. The Congress Working Committee has already rejected his offer of resignation and passed a resolution unanimously and authorized him to bring structural changes at every level of the party.
