Aligarh: In connection with the violence that broke out in Tappal area of Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday, the Aligarh police have released posters of those involved in the protest on Saturday morning. Till late on Friday night, the police have detained around 30 miscreants for questioning. A statement issued by the Aligarh police said that photographs of those allegedly involved in Friday's violence during the ongoing protest against the new recruitment scheme (AGNEEPATH scheme) for the Indian Armed Forces have been obtained from CCTV cameras installed at the violence site.

Aligarh police said these are photographs of those wanted in connection with Friday's violence in Tappal area and anyone who identifies any of them will be given a proper reward and the identity of the informer will be kept secret. The mobile number of SHO, Tappal police station, circle officer (Khair circle), superintendent of police rural and anti crime helpline has been issued for anyone wishing to respond to the police appeal. At the same time, SSP Aligarh Kalanidhi Naithani in his statement on Friday evening informed that peace has been restored in the district and a flag march has been carried out to instill confidence among the citizens. Additional forces have been given to the affected Tappal and Aligarh districts and 10 teams have been formed to arrest those involved in the damage caused to the buses and police outposts at Jattari in Tappal area. A case has been registered under sections for serious offence. SSP Aligarh said that if a person makes a complaint, further case will be registered.
