New Delhi: India's most powerful missile Agni-V (Agni-V ICBM) has been successfully tested. The test was conducted on the intervening night of Thursday-Friday. For the first time, the missile was fired in its full range. That is, the missile successfully destroyed the target by going 5,500 kilometers away. The missile has been jointly developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). However, the issue is how much its range is, China and many countries are worried that their entire area is coming under the scope of this missile.

The Agni-V missile weighs 50,000 kg. It is 17.5 meters long. Its diameter is 2 meters i.e. 6.7 feet. Not only this, a nuclear weapon weighing 1500 kg can be installed on this missile. This missile has three-stage rocket boosters, which fly with solid fuel. Its speed is 24 times more than the speed of sound. That is, it determines the distance of 8.16 kilometers in one second. Agni-V attacks the enemy at a speed of 29,401 km per hour. This missile is equipped with Ring Laser Gyroscope Inertial Navigation System, GPS, and NavIC Satellite Guidance System. Agni-V missile strikes the target with accuracy. Even if the target moves from its place to 10 to 80 meters, it is impossible to escape.

Mobile launchers are used to launch Agni-V missiles. It can be loaded onto the truck and transported to any place. The missile was first planned by scientist M Natarajan in 2007. If India launches this missile, it can attack the whole of Asia, including China-Pakistan, parts of Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Japan, and Indonesia. The most important thing about this missile is its MIRV technology (Multiple Independently Targetable Re-Entry Vehicles). Through this technique, the number of warheads installed on the missile can be increased. That is, a missile can hit multiple targets simultaneously.

Agni-V ICBM has been deployed in the Strategic Forces Command. Under this command, all missiles of India are operated. This includes missiles like Prithvi, Agni, and Surya. Surya missile is not yet ready. Its range will be 12 to 16 thousand kilometers. Before that, Agni-VI will be made, which will have a range of 8 to 12 thousand kilometers. This command also includes military missiles present in the sea. Such as - Bow, Sagarika, etc.
