New Delhi: Union Minister and co-in-charge of Karnataka, Mansukh Mandaviya today, April 3, called on BJP national president JP Nadda in Parliament in connection with the upcoming Assembly elections in the state, sources said.

Mandaviya spent Sunday in Karnataka where she attended a number of crucial organisational meetings. As per information from reliable sources, he will provide Nadda the feedback.

Since he was appointed to the party office, Mandaviya, who has been given joint responsibility for the approaching elections, has held a number of significant organisational meetings in the lead-up to the state elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, which is now in power in Karnataka, is actively pursuing reelection. Following the impending election, the party's campaign committee is being led by Chief Minister Basvaraj Bommai. Shobha Karandlaje, a Union Minister, is presiding over the meeting of the election management committee.

The schedule for the Karnataka elections was released on March 29 by the Indian Election Commission. Election day for the 224-member parliament is set for May 10, and the results will be tallied on May 13.

Ahead of the Karnataka Assembly election, JP Nadda earlier On March 17 participated in the 'Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra' and held a roadshow in Challakere . The Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections are set to take place before May 2023 to choose 224 members of the Assembly. The present tenure of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly will end on May 24, 2023.
