Ahmedabad: A campaign to collect donations for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has begun. Ahmedabad diamond trader Govindbhai Dholakia has donated Rs 11 crore. In addition, Surendra Singh, a resident of Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, has paid a donation of Rs 1 crore. The collection drive will continue till February 27.

Surat businessman Govindbhai Dholakia has paid Rs 11 crore for the construction of the Ram Mandir. This money will have access to temple construction. With this Rs 11 crore donation, the World Hindu Council and RSS will collect donations for the Ram Mandir in Gujarat from today. Everyone can donate according to their will. Govindbhai Dholakia is a diamond trader in Surat and owns Ramakrishna Diamond. He has been associated with the Sangh for years, he was also involved in the Ram Mandir initiative in 1992, and today he has donated Rs 11 crore because of his reverence and faith.

Mahesh Kabutarwala of Surat, famous for chemical industries in India, donated Rs 5 crore and Lavji Badshah Rs 1 crore. At the same time, there are traders who have paid donations ranging from Rs 5 to 21 lakh. Bjp's Gordhan Jhadfia and BJP treasurer Surendra Patel have donated Rs 5-5 lakh for the Ram Mandir.
