Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has received a contract worth Rs 25,000 crore from the government related to various businesses including engineering. The contract is for the implementation of part of the ambitious bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. SN Subramaniam, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of L&T told the press persons during the announcement of the economic results on Wednesday, "We have received the largest and most prestigious contract till date (Wednesday) from the government".

This is an order of Rs 25,000 crore by SN Subramaniam. This is the biggest contract for us. This is the largest single order for such a huge amount, which the government has given.
