Before the release of Tamil film FIR The All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen asked the Telangana govt on Friday to remove "objectionable" content, starring Vishnu Vishal, and its promotional material, a day after the film was banned in Qatar, Kuwait, and Malaysia.

The party, led by Asaduddin Owaisi, expressed strong opposition to the film poster depicting the 'Shahada' in Arabic, claiming that it had offended Muslim feelings. Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, AIMIM General Secretary and Telangana MLA, visited with T. Srinivas Yadav, the state's Minister for Cinematography, and presented him a memorandum seeking action against the film.
