After a long time, many films are coming in Bollywood. The Air Force has expressed strong objection to showing a bad image in 'Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl' to be released on Netflix today. Regarding this, the Air Force has written a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification. In addition to the sensor board, the Air Force has also sent this letter to Netflix and Dharma Production.
The letter reads, "As per the initial agreement, Dharma Production had said that the honor of Indian Air Force will be maintained in the film. It was also determined that this movie will inspire the coming generations to join the Air Force'. According to the letter, there are some scenes in the trailer of the film, in which the image of Air Force is shown negatively. In a letter to ANI it has been said that Dharma Production created a situation which is misleading to glorify the performance of former flight lieutenant Gunjan Saxena in the movie.
Along with this, the behavior towards women in the air force has not been shown properly. The Gunjan Saxena movie is based on the first female pilot to be involved in the Kargil war. She was awarded the Shaurya Veer Award for her courage in the 1999 war. The Air Force says that discrimination is not done on the basis of gender in the military, and everyone is provided equal opportunities. In the three armies, Air Force was the first to commission women officers in other departments besides the medical branch. There has been no response from the production.
