New Delhi: After a long time, the decline in pollution has been recorded in Delhi-NCR. Air quality improved in Delhi on Monday morning. With the clean air, schools opened in Delhi-NCR today. Due to increasing pollution, schools in Delhi NCR were closed from last few days.

According to the Air Quality Index (AQI), the PM 2.5 level in Lodhi Road area has come down to 188, which is considered to be in general category. At the same time, the level of PM10 also declines to 174 which is general category. On Wednesday, Lodhi Road in Delhi was assessed PM 2.5 level upto 218  and  PM10 level at 217 which considers in the bad category. According to the CPCB data, AQI 215 was recorded on ITO on Monday morning, which considers in the bad category. According to CPCB, RQ Puram in Delhi also had AQI 184 which considers in the general category.

The air quality index is better between 0-50, satisfactory between 51-100, normal between 101 and 200, poor between 201 and 300, very poor between 301 and 400 and extremely poor between 401 and 500 is considered to be in the dangerous category. In the air, level of PM10 should be 100  and PM2.5 should not exceed 60 micrograms per meter.
