Airtel on Thursday launched its video streaming service Airtel Xstream Premium in India. Airtel Extreme Premium is also getting a single subscription offer of 15 popular video apps. That means these 15 apps will not have to be recharged separately. Airtel Extreme Premium is said to compete with Amazon Prime and Netflix.

Airtel Xstream Premium's one-month recharge plan is Rs 149. While the annual recharge plan is available for Rs 1499. Airtel's new video service is also going to introduce content in the local language. For this, Airtel has partnered with video apps like Eros Now, Sony Liv, Lionsgate. More than 10,500 movies and shows and live channels will also be available in this service.

How to recharge: Airtel Xstream Premium service will be enjoyed on TV  as well as mobile apps, tablets and laptops and on the setup box. Users can download the Airtel Xstream app by scanning a simple QR code. You can also do the download from the Google Play Store on the TV. With which Airtel can also enjoy Airtel Xstream Premium on DTS Cable TV.  

OTT subscribers will increase 3 times by the year 2025: According to the news, at present, the market share of OTT subscriptions in India is about 500 million dollars, which can increase to 2 billion dollars by the year 2025. In such a situation, Airtel is going to target 20 million new paid users through its new video service Airtel Extreme Premium. This will triple the OTT apps subscriptions from 165 million. At the same time, shorts TV is going to get a collection of more than 10,500 movies and shows as well as big entertainment content with live channels.
