Guwahati: After the claim of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) about the Congress, there has been an earthquake in Assam politics. In fact, the AIUDF claims that 2-3 Congress MLAs are in touch with them. Since then, there is a possibility of a split in Congress in the state.

The AIUDF also says that many Congress leaders will join the party next month, including those who have important responsibilities for the Congress in the state. Along with this, the AIUDF has also claimed to dethrone the BJP in the state. He said the BJP will be finished in Assam in the next 5-6 years as people are in no mood to bring the BJP back to power. AIUDF general secretary Karimuddin Barbhuiya said, "Six months ago, I had said that the Congress MLA will share the dais with us. 2-3 Congress MLAs are with us and they have also met party president Badruddin Ajmal. We don't want bypolls, so we are waiting. 6 Congress MLAs are in touch with us.''

He also informed that many Congress leaders are going to join AIUDF in the month of September and in the coming few years, the BJP will be eliminated in the state. He said "On September 2, many Congress leaders are going to join AIUDF. These include the Barpeta district president and state-level general secretary. In the coming 5-6 years, the BJP will end in Assam and their downfall has started from Bihar itself. People are not going to accept them again.''
