Thala Ajith starrer Viswasam is reciving rave reviews from the audience and doing a great business at the box office. Even after more than 20 days of the release, it is still ruling the box office. Viswasam has turned out to be the highest grossing film of Ajith's career and has now even beaten Vijay’s Sarkar at the Tamil Nadu box office.
After surpassing life Timw colletcionof Vijay's Sarkar, Viswasam has become the all-time fourth highest grossing movie at the Tamil Nadu box office. The film now only trails behind Vijay's Mersal, Rajinikanth's 2.0 and Prabhas' Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

In fact, at Chennai city box office too the movie has done well. Though unlike the whole state, the movie is behind Petta in the capital city. So far Viswasam has earned Rs 12.03 crore. Ramesh Bala's tweet read, "#Thala #Ajith 's #Viswasam crosses the ₹ 12 Crs Gross Mark in #Chennai City.. 3 weeks Gross - ₹ 12.03 Crs.."
When released on January 10 last month, Viswasam faced tough competition from Rajinikanth's Petta. Despite tough competition, Viswasam managed to do a great business. The Rajinikanth starrer too is doing great business at the box office.
