He said, “I've known Russell (Mehta) and Mona (Mehta) for the past 30 years now. I have seen all the kids, Shloka and all grow up in front of me. So, this time, I'm on the Mehtas' side.”

Bride to be Shloka’s father Russell Mehta is a diamantaire, and he, along with his wife Mona Mehta, owns Rosy Blue Diamonds, which has a presence in 12 countries. Besides this, the celebrations also saw performances by international stars Coldplay and The Chainsmokers.

Shloka and Akash are set tie knot on March 9 after getting engaged last year in Goa. The wedding ceremony will take place at Jio World Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. Post that, a lavish wedding reception has been organised for March 11.
