The spy thriller is directed by Surender Reddy. Sakshi Vaidya and Mammooty, a Malayalam actor, also feature in the film. Vakkantham Vamsi wrote the storey for the film, which is being directed by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under the banners of AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema.
The film Agent was supposed to hit theatres in December 2021, but it was postponed owing to the coronavirus outbreak. The new release date has yet to be announced by the producers.
