Finally, the climax of the political drama of Samajwadi Party took place in the Press Conference held in the evening today. The SP supremo Mulayam Singh announced the expulsion of the rebelling leader and present CM Akhilesh Yadav along with his present mentor Ramgopal Yadav for six years. It is like a final stroke over the highly weakened unity of the ruling party in the state.

It was appearing that the tension inside the party is mounting day by day; but it was not expected that the senior leader and father of Akhilesh, would expel his son from the party. Hence, it is a big surprise for all the people and even the political experts.

Now, it is almost clear that the Samajwadi Party is now broken in two fractions. While, the sections with the National president Mulayam and state president Shivpal Yadav has more legal authority, as per the constitution of the party; but on the other hand the fraction having no legal sanctity at present and headed by the present CM and the senior leader Ramgopal Yadav seems to have more public support and also positive perception due to the development work done by the present Akhilesh government.
