There was no need for this law because the government already has the right to give citizenship of the country to whomever but this law has been brought to divert the attention of people from serious issues like economy and unemployment.

The yatra will conclude on 30 January at Rajghat in Delhi. The yatra started from the Gateway of India on 9 January as Mahatma Gandhi landed here from South Africa.
