Former Uttar Pradesh CM and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP government of UP is fretting over the rights given to citizens by the Constitution. It is not the job of any democratic government to deprive its citizens of the rights conferred on the constitution and publicly declare it a criminal without a court decision. These days the BJP government is working to crush the unilateral opposition in the capital Lucknow.
Akhilesh Yadav on Friday issued a statement saying that the police have asked for the identification of more than four dozen citizens in Lucknow through hoardings, posters and putting photos of them. This kind of performance at intersections cannot be justified in any way. Which democratic system is to propagate someone as a suspect without a plea, without a lawyer, as a criminal?
Apart from this, in his statement, Akhilesh Yadav said that if the angry public will put up hoardings with real faces of BJP leaders then what will BJP do? The BJP government is doing a dictatorial approach rather than dialogue. The BJP government is doing a dictatorial approach rather than dialogue. Democracy is run by the people, but the BJP is not bothered about this. The BJP also does not believe in democracy. The right to disagree is derived from the Indian Constitution, but the BJP wants to stop the voice of democracy.
