Lucknow: In the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the process of attack and counterattack through video has intensified. State Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has shared a video of Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav on social media, in which Maurya has accused Akhilesh of disrespecting Gautam Buddha. However, this claim of Keshav has been denied by the SP. In fact, Akhilesh Yadav had held a public meeting on Tuesday for Pallavi Patel, the SP-Apna Dal (Kamarawadi) candidate from Sirathu.
During this public meeting, the party worker presented a statue of Gautam Buddha to Akhilesh. While sharing this video, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has accused the SP chief. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya tweeted and wrote, 'Why do you hate Akhilesh Yadav ji Lord Tathagata Gautam Buddha so much, is this also the character of the new SP!'. Earlier, Keshav Prasad Maurya had accused Akhilesh Yadav of despising the people of Sirathu. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya tweeted that, 'Today the national president of SP went to my birthplace, my identity, making fun of the development of Sirathu, I will reply in his language. My sanskars do not allow, but the rope got burnt but the strength did not go away. The people of Sirathu will avenge the humiliation by feeding lotus on February 27!'
