He has also questioned the defence corridor. He recently made a statement saying, "There are no jobs, where the defence corridor is being built. Where have the government taken the land? When will the work start? The Government should respond to it."

Former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav went to the house of former minister Nasimuddin Siddiqui's younger brother and SP leader Hassan Siddiqui in Mardanaka. He interacted with the media persons. In this conversation, he said, "Every section is troubled by the BJP. The government was just speaking to the people. The farmers of Bundelkhand are in a dilapidated condition. So far, the SP has launched a programme on farmers, now it is the turn of the youth. The youth cordon programme will be launched between them. The problems of every class will be addressed with the farmers, businessmen and youth when the SP government comes."
