Rampur: Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has given a big statement regarding SP MP Azam Khan from Rampur Lok Sabha seat. Akhilesh Yadav has said that on coming to power, the SP government will withdraw all the cases filed against Azam Khan. Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had said on Friday that the district and police administration is wreaking havoc on Azam Khan at the instigation of the state government.

Akhilesh Yadav was talking to reporters while going from Lucknow to Rampur by road to create atmosphere in support of Azam Khan. During this time, Akhilesh Yadav had said that, 'Senior party leader Azam Khan did not have a single case registered six months ago and in the last one month, 80 cases have been filed against him and he has been declared as a land mafia. In Rampur, on the indication of the state government, the district and police administration is wreaking havoc on Azam Khan.

Akhilesh Yadav said, 'In common cases like goat and buffalo theft, cases are being written, which have no basis. Many cases were registered in one night, it would never have happened before. The only drawback of Azam Khan is that he worked for the future of the next generation.
