UP- Janpur: After the SIT report revealed that the Lakhimpur Kheri tragedy was "well planned," Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has demanded dismissal of Union Minister of state for home affairs, Ajay Misra Teni. Akhilesh spoke to reporters for the second day in a row in Jaunpur as part of his Vijay Yatra "The truth has been revealed, and it is now evident that persons linked with the BJP killed the farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri by crushing them as part of a conspiracy. If the BJP still has any morals, it should fire the minister who is also a defendant in the case." He also criticised Ajay Misra Teni's misbehaviour with media on Wednesday evening in Lakhimpur.

On his public appearances during the yatra, Akhilesh warned that the BJP's desperation was growing as the Assembly elections approached. The BJP was compelled to bring leaders from other states to the state out of fear of defeat. He claimed that the large turnout at the Vijay Yatra has demonstrated that the bicycle (SP poll symbol) will drive the bull and bulldozer out of the state.

The bull refers to wandering cattle ruining crops, and the bulldozer refers to the state authority demolishing accused citizens' properties at will.

When it comes to inflation and unemployment, Akhilesh claims that oil companies' profits have soared by over 600 per cent in the last three months, but instead of providing help to the poor, the government is focused on expanding the exchequer of the wealthy. Promises to double farmers' incomes have proven to be lies, according to Akhilesh, while inflation has doubled during the BJP's leadership.
