Lucknow: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, all political parties are trying to level allegations against each other. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has warned a strike against the Election Commission (EC). The SP chief said on Tuesday that the electoral rolls have been published. It has 21 lakh 56 thousand 262 newly added names and the number of names deleted is 16 lakh 42 thousand 756.

Akhilesh said that every time the list of names that have been deleted and added is issued by the Election Commission. Akhilesh alleged that but this time the Election Commission is not publishing this list under whose pressure it is not known. Akhilesh further said that if the Election Commission does not release this list, then we will sit on a dharna against the commission. SP chief Akhilesh further said that in every election the voter list of names added and dropped has been given till 2019, then why is it not being given this time.

Akhilesh said that why this list is not being given to political parties. What's the reason? He said that if a protest has to be taken against the Election Commission, we will do that too. Akhilesh said that all the officers who have gone to Delhi in the Election Commission have gone from Uttar Pradesh itself. Now there is an election in UP itself. We hope that the Election Commission will act impartially.
