Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has said that different castes should be given reservation on the basis of their population. Speaking to the media in Chitrakoot at an SP training camp, the party chief said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state was trying to divide the backward classes.

Akhilesh further said, "The BJP government is trying to divide the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) into backward and very backward categories. According to CM Yogi Adityanath, only one caste was getting the benefit of reservation." Akhilesh Yadav did not stop here and he targeted fiercely at the Yogi Adityanath government. Calling the BJP a party of lies, Akhilesh said that Adityanath's rule was only to change the name of the schemes launched by his government to show his performance and claim the credit.

Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP state government does not have a clear roadmap to vaccinate the coronavirus. No information has yet been provided about connecting the poor in the state. He also took a dig at the government over the current law and order situation and cited the recent Badaun rape and murder case. Yadav said that women are insecure in Yogi Adityanath's UP.
