New Delhi: Sprinter Axar Patel may return in the second Test against England. He could be included in the squad in place of Shahbaz Nadeem. He will be present for selection in the second Test. In fact, the All India Senior Selection Committee has excluded Shahbaz Nadeem and Rahul Chahar from the main team and included in the standby players. Explain that if Axar gets a chance to play in the second Test, it will be his debut match.
Patel, who did not play the first Test due to injury, is now fully fit. He's playing in the second test against England from February 13 is almost certain to be played. Earlier, Axar was also seen bowling the nets fiercely. Team India has shared a video on its Instagram account, in which Axar is seen bowling. The team wrote in the caption of this video that, 'They missed the first test, but Axar Patel is back and ready to perform well.'
All-rounder Axar Patel was given a place in the team after Ravindra Jadeja was dropped from the series. Playing the letter in the first Test was considered almost certain, but at the last time, Shahbaz Nadeem was included in the team due to the injury. Nadeem's performance in the first Test was not much as expected of him. However, he took five wickets in both innings in total.
