Actor Akshay Kumar is gearing up for a special announcement on his 57th birthday, September 9. In a recent Instagram video, Kumar hinted at an exciting new project, saying, "Ganpati Bappa Morya! What could be better than a day like today to hint at something special coming your way. The reveal is set for my birthday. Stay tuned!"

Kumar is reportedly collaborating with filmmaker Priyadarshan on a new horror-comedy, marking their reunion after 14 years since their last film, Khatta Meetha. While details about the film remain under wraps, it is expected to revolve around black magic and will feature Kumar with three leading actresses. According to reports, a motion poster for the film will be released on Kumar's birthday.

The film's production is slated to begin by the end of this year, with shooting locations including Hyderabad, a forest in Kerala, Sri Lanka, and Gujarat. Major portions of the film are planned to be shot in these locations, with the concluding scenes expected in Gujarat next year. The cast details are still being finalized, but Kumar's character is anticipated to be showcased in the motion poster.

This film will be Kumar’s third venture into the horror-comedy genre. He previously starred in Bhool Bhulaiyaa, a psychological thriller, and made a cameo in the recent release Stree 2, alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Kumar has several other projects lined up, including Jolly LLB 3, Sky Force, and Singham Again.
