'The murder will happen.. No one can save...', CM Mamata's chief advisor receives threat

Kolkata: Former West Bengal Chief Secretary and CM Mamata Banerjee's chief advisor Alpan Bandyopadhyay has been allegedly threatened. West Bengal Police has informed in this regard on Wednesday. Police said Bandyopadhyay's wife and Calcutta University Vice-Chancellor Sonali Chakraborty has received a typed letter signed in the name of Gaurhari Mishra.

The letter writer says he is posted in the chemical technology department of Rajabazar Science College in the city. A police officer has informed the media that the letter has a date of October 22, which says, "Madam, your husband will be murdered. No one can save your husband's life.'

The police official said that a complaint has been registered in this regard and the matter is under investigation. Bandyopadhyay, who retired in May, is currently the national president of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and chief advisor to state CM Mamata Banerjee.
