Patna: Monsoon has become fully active in Bihar. People are quite upset due to incessant rain. Flood-like conditions prevailed in many districts. Heavy rain alert has been sounded in 19 districts of the state even today. Patna has been receiving heavy rain since this morning. This has led to waterlogging in low-lying areas. Several areas including Boring Road, Rajiv Nagar, Gandhi Maidan, Dak Bangla in Patna have been inundated due to incessant rains.

The MET department has issued a heavy rain alert in 19 districts of Bihar. According to the MET department, it is raining due to the trough line passing near Patna. The MET department today predicted rain in several districts including Khagaria, West Champaran, Bhagalpur, Samastipur. Along with the rains, lightning has also been predicted in some districts of Bihar.

The MET department says the trough line is heading towards Jharkhand via Aurangabad, Rohtas. Jharkhand is witnessing a variety of changes in the weather due to the high activity. Many rivers in Bihar are in spate due to incessant rains. The risk of floods has increased in many districts.
