Alia Bhatt has given various Blockbuster performances in her career. The actress has played in various influential Films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, High way, Udta Punjab, Raazi, and various others. Alia Bhatt has been facilitated with the Smita Patil Memorial award by Priyadarshni Academy.

Sharing this proud piece of news, Alia Bhatt wrote, "Grateful and honored to receive the Smita Patil Memorial award Thank you to everyone.” During the event, while receiving the award,  Alia said, “I want to thank the Priyadarshni Academy for bestowing me with the Smita Patil Memorial Award for Best Actor. It’s a tremendous honor to be here today, one I’ll cherish for the years to come."

The actress further said, "India has the most incredible legacy of the arts, and I’m eternally grateful that our work is a part of it. Cinema teaches us the importance of believing in the beauty of dreams, to follow them with dedication and humility, and never quit.”

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt’s father  Mahesh Bhatt earlier compared her with  Smita Patil as he said, “Why shouldn't I mention my daughter Alia? She has done Highway and also some lighter roles at a very young age. She can do both commercial and experimental films as she has grown up seeing  Smita Patil and Shabana Azmi's movies by my production house," 

Alia Bhatt was last seen in Brahmastra, It is directed by Ayan Mukherji has been in the making for a while now. Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor this movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy along with special appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone The film was made at a budget of Rs 410 crore, making it the most expensive film of Hindi cinema. Previously, this record was held by YRF’s Thugs of Hindostan which was made at around Rs 310 crore.
