Jaipur: All 9 patients positive for the new variant of coronavirus Omicron in Jaipur, Rajasthan have reported negative. Recently the Rajasthan Health Department has informed about this. All patients have reportedly been discharged from RUHS Hospital. They have been advised to stay in quarantine for seven days. For the first time in the state, on 5th December, nine people were confirmed infected with the new form of coronavirus 'Omicron' in Jaipur.

Four people on the list had returned from South Africa and five were their relatives who came in contact with them. Talking about this, officials said that samples of 34 people who came in contact with them, including family members who returned from South Africa, were taken, nine of whom were confirmed to be infected with omicron, while 25 reported negative. The first case of the Omicron variant came up in Karnataka on December 2. So far, 23 people have been positive from this variant in the country.

The highest number of 10 cases of omicron are reportedly in Maharashtra. There are 2,303 cases of omicron format globally. Amidst all this, the DGCA said on Thursday, 'India will suspend its scheduled international passenger flights till January 31 next year.'
