Haryana is witnessinga fiercely competitive election today, as more than 2 crore voters head to the polls to choose 90 state assembly members in a single-phase election. In Haryana, previous exit polls had incorrectly predicted the BJP securing an average of 43 seats, while the actual results saw the party winning 40. Similarly, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, several exit polls failed to predict the outcome accurately, with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) underperforming compared to predictions.

Stakes in the Haryana Election

The BJP is hoping for a third consecutive victory in Haryana, while the Congress aims to break its decade-long stint in opposition. Other key players in the state’s election include the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), and the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD).
