The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is slated to go on sale in the coming weeks, and the hatchback is promising to provide a number of important upgrades over the vehicle it will replace. While a Head Up Display (HUD) for the 2022 Baleno has already been revealed, Maruti Suzuki has also produced a teaser film revealing a nine-inch HD display panel, a first for the brand.

By now, it's clear that the new Baleno isn't just relying on its outside design updates to connect with potential buyers, but it's also ramping up its in-car tech game. While the inclusion of a head-up display in a hatchback is a first in the Indian mass-market category, the nine-inch HD screen is sure to appeal to many. Maruti Suzuki claims that people inside the new Baleno will enjoy a superior acoustic sound experience thanks to Surround Sense powered by ARKAMYS. "We put a specific emphasis on the use of modern technologies that will delight the consumer while also assuring a safer and more convenient driving when working on the New Age Baleno," says the company.

Spy photos of the 2017 Baleno on test drives have revealed some major changes to the vehicle's exterior look. "The New  Baleno is dynamically crafted to meet the needs of a tech-savvy generation that settles for nothing less than the finest, as a testament to today's youthful and bold customers." "Maruti Suzuki India Limited's Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) Shashank Srivastava previously stated. "By inspiring a convergence of excellent in-car technology, expressive design, and class-leading safety to curate the best urban cruising experience, the New Age Baleno sets a new standard for vehicles.""

Since its introduction in 2015, Baleno has had a strong influence in the region. Late last year, it surpassed the ten-thousand-unit-sale milestone.

Bookings for the new Baleno are already open, and once it is officially released, it will face off against the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, and Honda Jazz, as well as sub-compact SUVs with comparable price tags like the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
