New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, called the Mohali bombing "a cowardly act" and vowed that those responsible will face heavy punishment.

The Punjab government will not allow people to disrupt the state's tranquillity, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor said. "The bombing in Mohali was a cowardly act by people who wish to disrupt Punjab's tranquillity. The Punjab government of the Aam Aadmi Party will not grant those people's wishes. Peace will be preserved under all circumstances with the help of all Punjabis, and the perpetrators would be harshly punished "he stated.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced on Tuesday that police have launched a probe into the Mohali bomb, warning that those who try to destabilise the state's atmosphere will not be spared.

Mann has also called a meeting with the DGP and other top officers at his residence today, according to sources, to get a report on the course of action done thus far.

Raghav Chadha, an AAP MP, denounced the attack and stated that the Punjab government will not spare those responsible and will take the harshest possible measures. 

"The explosion in Mohali was an act of cowardice by those who seek to destabilise the State's hard-won tranquillity. The Punjab government will not spare anybody guilty and will take the most severe measures feasible "he wrote in a tweet "At around 7:45 p.m., a minor explosion was reported at the Punjab Police Intelligence headquarters in SAS Nagar's sector 77. There has been no damage recorded. Senior officials have arrived on the scene and are conducting an inquiry "On Monday, Mohali police stated.
