Lucknow: In the case of encountering Girdhari Vishwakarma alias Doctor, accused of the famous Ajit Singh murder case of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, other policemen including an IPS have got a big relief from the High Court. The High Court has set aside the order to register an FIR against the accused policemen.
In fact, about a year ago after the Ajit Singh murder case in the capital Lucknow, the police had killed a notorious crook and gangster Mukhtar Ansari's close friend Girdhari Vishwakarma alias Doctor in an encounter. In this case, on a complaint, CJM Lucknow had ordered to register an FIR against the police officers who did the encounter. That order of CJM Lucknow was challenged in the Allahabad High Court. In this case, on Tuesday, Judge Rajiv Singh of the High Court heard both sides and after that, the CJM's order to register the FIR was quashed.
Some other policemen including IPS Sanjeev Suman and Inspector Chandrashekhar were made accused in the Girdhari encounter case. CJM Lucknow had ordered an FIR against them. Additional advocate general Vinod Shahi and additional government advocate Anurag Verma had argued in the court on behalf of the police and the state government in the case.
