CAA: Court seeks response on pasting posters of accused in violence

Violence was allegedly witnessed during the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. The district administration has put up posters on the road regarding this violence. On which Allahabad High Court has taken automatic cognizance. The High Court has summoned the Police Commissioner Lucknow and DM Lucknow. The court has asked them under which law posters have been put. The court said that there is no mention in the poster that under which law these posters have been installed.

For your information, let us tell you that even after being discharged on Sunday, the court will hear the matter. The division bench of Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice Ramesh Sinha will hear the case. Let the Lucknow district administration identify the people allegedly involved in the violence during the protest against the CAA and put their names and addresses on the hoardings with photos.

Allegedly 57 people have been identified in connection with this case. Hoardings have been placed at all major intersections of the city with the names and addresses of 57 people who were allegedly involved in the violence during anti-CAA protests in the state capital in December last year. Hazratganj, Kaiserbagh and Thakurganj are from the police station area. The administration has already issued a notice for recovery to all these people for damage to public property worth Rs 1.55 crore.
