Amarnath Jarkiholi, son of district in-charge minister Ramesh Jarkiholi said he is a young boy in politics and not a ticket aspirant for the Belagavi parliamentary by-election. He joined BJP in 2019 and said he is still a party worker and have responsibilities to address people grievances and take care of them in Gokak region. He conveyed a message and set goal for the people in Belagavi praising Late Suresh Angadis exceptional work for the state and country as minister for state railways and assuring justice to Angadi’s family the goal of BJP candidate win the by-poll.

Amarnath is also the director of the Karnataka Cooperative Milk Federation (KMF). About Belagavi candidate Ramesh Jarkiholi said Angadi’s wife Mangala will be the candidate for the bypoll. “Amarnath is still young to enter into electoral politics. There are a lot of things for him to learn in politics,” Ramesh said.

With Sreeramulu another important Valmiki community based leader holding a strong position with Yediurrapa’s government, the rise of Amarnath is noted keenly by the opposition and the people. The change in Sreeramulus ministry and the rumors of Amarnath contesting the by-polls had given mixed reviews among the Karnataka people. However, the rising Amarnath will occupy the important place in the party as much as Sreeramulu who was a big wall behind Karnataka’s victory in the previous election. Amarnath on reaching heights might pose a threat to Sreeramulus importance in the BJP party.
