Srinagar: The Amarnath Yatra has been celebrated since Thursday (June 30, 2022) for the darshan of Baba Barfani, located in the hills of south Kashmir. Due to the Corona epidemic, the journey that started after 2 years is seeing tremendous enthusiasm among the people. The journey will continue for 43 days. The yatra, which began today, will complete on August 11. During this time, 7-8 lakh devotees are expected to have darshan.

Amidst tight security, many devotees have reached Pahalgam and Baltal Bai's camps. The first batch of devotees at Pahalgam was welcomed by the locals. The passengers going to have darshan of Baba Barfani are moving ahead shouting 'Bam-Bab Bhole.' The first batch of Amarnath pilgrims was flagged off by State Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha from Yatri Niwas Jammu. Let us know that the yatra has been started again after a gap of two years, so the Jammu and Kashmir administration expects the number of devotees to be more than normal this year. A group of 4,890 pilgrims have left for the Amarnath cave from the Jammu base camp.
Arrangements have been made at the camp for the stay of devotees amidst heavy security arrangements. At the same time, jawans are deployed all around to deal with any kind of situation. Tight security arrangements have been made at every corner. Authorities have made tight security arrangements in view of the apprehension of a terror threat to the yatra.
