America and India to start joint trial of Ayurvedic medicines for coronavirus

Washington: Countries around the world are busy searching for Coronavirus vaccine. In India, the treatment of corona is also being discovered in traditional Ayurvedic method. America has also taken steps in this direction. India's Ambassador to the US Taranjit Sandhu has said that Ayurvedic doctors and researchers in India and the US are planning to start a joint clinical trial of Ayurvedic medicines to prevent corona infection.

In a digital interaction on Wednesday with a group of eminent Indian-American scientists, scholars and doctors, Sandhu said that "The extensive network of institutional participation has brought together the scientific communities of the two countries in the war against the coronavirus. He said that our institutes have come together to promote Ayurveda through joint research, teaching and training programs. Ayurvedic doctors and researchers of both countries are planning to initiate a joint clinical trial of Ayurvedic medicines to protect against corona". He further said that our scientists are exchanging knowledge and research resources in relation to Ayurveda.

Sandhu further said that Indian pharmaceutical companies are pioneers in producing affordable medicines and vaccines and will play an important role in the war against this epidemic. According to Sandhu, there are about three partnerships of Indian pharmaceutical companies with US-based institutions. He said that this will not only benefit India and the US but will also benefit billions of people all over the world who need the vaccine to protect them from Covid-19.
