New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has demanded the hanging of terrorist Yasin Malik, the chief of the terrorist organization Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). The NIA had approached the High Court seeking death penalty in terror funding, which saw a heated debate on Monday (May 29). Even after heated arguments, the court has sent a notice to Yasin Malik to know his side. Along with this, the Tihar Jail administration has been asked to present him in the court during the next hearing. While demanding the hanging of Yasin Malik, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta also reminded the terrorist Osama bin Laden.

According to the report, the Solicitor General referred to Bin Laden in the Yasin Malik case and said that If Osama bin Laden was also brought to this court, would he have received the same treatment? Justice Siddharth Mridul, who was part of the bench hearing the case, said, "There can be no comparison between the two, because there was no trial against Bin Laden in any court." On this, Tushar Mehta said that I think America did the right thing. Justice Mridul did not respond to Mehta's remarks. Let us tell you that, America killed terrorist Bin Laden and threw his body into the sea. Yasin Malik also brutally killed 4 unarmed officers of the Indian Air Force and confessed this on TV.   After this, on the invitation of the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Yasin Malik also went to the PM's residence and met him, which caused a lot of ruckus. Till then, Yasin had not been arrested, but was being talked to. Apart from the killing of Air Force officers, Yasin is also accused of killing Kashmiri Hindus in 1990.

However, after the change of government at the Center, Yasin Malik is currently lodged in Tihar Jail and is serving a life sentence. On May 25, the trial court sentenced him to life imprisonment. He has been found guilty of waging war against India. The NIA has approached the Delhi High Court challenging the trial court's decision. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the NIA, said that the crime committed by Yasin Malik falls under the category of heinous. "If this crime is also not categorised as the heinous, then who will be kept? If the death sentence is not given in this case, then tomorrow all the terrorists will come forward and accept their mistake and apologize. In this way, those terrorists will escape."

Rubaiya Sayeed, daughter of the then Home Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, was also kidnapped. In return, he had released 5 dreaded terrorists. These released terrorists later carried out the 26/11 terror attack. In which many people were killed.
