Now the CAG is Girish Chandra Murmu. ''The current election was held today, May 29, 2023 in the 76th World Health Assembly in Geneva. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) was reelected with an overwhelming majority (114 out of 156 votes) in the preliminary round of voting itself,'' it said in a statement.
The nomination of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India is a testament to its prominence in the worldwide community as well as to its expertise, high standards, experience with international audits, and solid national credentials, it noted.
