Washington: The US has advised all its citizens present across the world to reconsider their travel to Pakistan. The US has prohibited all its citizens from going to disturbed areas in view of the ongoing terrorist activities in Pakistan and incidents of communal violence spreading in many areas there. In the US advisory, all citizens have been requested that if they are planning to go to Pakistan, then reconsider it for the time being and postpone it for a few days.

The US State Department in a travel advisory issued on Thursday (October 6) asked its citizens to protect the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, including Balochistan and the former Union Territories of Tribal Areas (FATA), due to incidents of terrorism and kidnapping. Also appealed not to travel. The US has issued a 'level-three' advisory saying, 'Reconsider your visit to Pakistan due to terrorism and communal violence. The danger has increased in some areas.

The 'Level-III' travel warning is issued when long-term or serious conditions pose a risk to passengers and visitors and when unnecessary travel is considered necessary to be avoided. The US has also instructed its citizens not to travel around the Line of Control (LoC) due to the possibility of terrorism and armed conflict.
