The Commission said that Christian and Hindu communities are 'particularly vulnerable' in the Islamic nation, especially women and girls. Every year hundreds of girls are abducted and forced to marry Muslim men. The victims have no hope of returning to their families due to the severe threats made by the kidnappers against the girls and their families. The report further said that action is not taken due to lack of police, weaknesses in the judicial process and discrimination by both police and judiciary against religious minority victims. The commission cited several prominent examples that there are minorities in the country and they are portrayed as second-class citizens.
