WASHINGTON: The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that President Donald Trump could use $2.5 billion from the U.S. Department of Defense's fund to build a wall along the southern border with Mexico. According to a report by AFE News, the Supreme Court on Friday delivered its verdict by voting 5-4 to overturn a lower court ruling. The lower court had prevented the Trump administration from putting money on the act.

Following the decision, the US President tweeted, "Wow! Big win on the wall. The U.S. Supreme Court overturned the lower court's ruling and allowed the southern border wall to move forward. A major victory for border security and rule of law," the U.S. president declared a national emergency on the border on February 15 to justify the use of funds.
