Washington: Buddhist religious Dalai Lama was celebrating his 85th birthday on Monday. On this occasion, he received congratulatory messages from all over the world. America also congratulated the Dalai Lama on his birthday, along with that America also thanked India, because the Dalai Lama has been living in India since 1959. In 1959, after the Communist government of China started repression in Tibet, the Dalai Lama came to India with his supporters, when India sheltered about two and a half million Tibetans.

The South Asian Department of the US State Department tweeted, 'Happy birthday to the Dalai Lama, who spread the message of peace in the world. He seems to be fighting the struggle of Tibetans. We thank India that they have sheltered the Dalai Lama and Tibetans since 1959'. It is noteworthy that many big senators and officials of the US congratulated the Dalai Lama on his birthday.

In India too, many Union ministers, celebrities, leaders wished the Dalai Lama a birthday. However, no congratulatory message was given on Twitter from PM Modi. Even today, China considers the Dalai Lama as its enemy, and many times it has a problem seeing the Dalai Lama's close association with India. Now that the border dispute is going on between China and India, in such a situation, everyone's eyes were on the message of the Dalai Lama.
